Brief Update

It’s been a few months since my last post.  Seems like life just gets busier all the time.  In short we are all doing well. Our lives still consist of Melissa teaching, I AM STILL SINGING and workink at the funeral home, Emme’s STILL IN SCHOOL 😂, like she has a choice.  Her talent and abilities in tumbling and competition cheer continue to amaze us.  She works so hard in the gym usually 4 days a week, 2-3 hours each day.
I am happy to announce a new recording is in the works.  As many have stated over the years how they enjoy the segments of my concerts where it is just me singing at the piano with no background tracks.  The album will be titled, You Asked for It, because you have asked for it and that’s what I’m doing.  It will be a recording of freestyle playing and vocal capturing my heart of worship that you experience and expect in a live setting.  Plans are to be finshed in the spring.  On that note, the date for this Friday night in Ravenna is a part of their Friday Night Worship series.  It will be featuring this style and format.  I’m excited to begin sharing this music with you.
Be sure to check out my schedule as several dates have already been added for 2019.
Your continued support of my music is always appreciated!

The Music Continues…

I feel a need to clear up some confusion that may have occured for some readers from my last email and social media/website posting. I have not nor plan to come off the road. Music and ministry is still continuing. I am continuing my work at the funeral home and plan to begin my classes in January to obtain a funeral director’s certificate.
With that said the climate of the church world has changed over the past several years and scheduling dates have become more difficult. In order to keep up with those changes a new recording would helpful to reach other church markets. As I am asked all the time when will I record again. When the Lord chooses to provide the finances to do so I’ll be ready! At this point there is much to overcome. However, I trust AND know that God has a master plan. His provisions and faithfulness have always been AND will always be sufficient.
With that said I am in need of dates in the upcoming months and already scheduling for 2019. Add your next event The BUNCH Stops Here itinerary!  Schedule posted is up to date.

13 Years!

13 years and counting! Fast forwarding 12 years and 11 months…if she stays another 13 years after a month of shingles and almost emergency hernia surgery, 3 doctors visits, 2 days in the hospital and approximately 60,00mg of Rx I’m a blessed man!

Surgery update

Obviously I am very sore. Incisions look great! Ate 6 gelatins and I think 5 puddings last night after surgery. This AM biscuit/gravy, turkey sausage, 2 eggs & blueberry muffin. I may be in pain but y’all know I gotta eat! Thanks for your thoughts, prayers and kind comments.

Surgery tomorrow…

I have a lower abdomen hernia manifested earlier this year. Today it (intestine) popped through the ab wall. It’s since been pushed back into place twice tonight but all cleared for repair tomorrow. Pray I get worked in for laparoscopic instead of traditional.

Shingles Update…:-)

Time for an update…I am doing much better. The pain I have now is managed and I hope to never have #shingles again! I returned to work on Monday at the funeral home and loved being back @taltybc yesterday! That’s it for now.  A new date has also been added for Wills Point, TX for Oct. 14th!  Check out the schedule for details.

Changes with the Bunches

Many changes surrounding the Bunches!  And I know some of you are thinking, “what’s new”? We are an ever evolving family.  Long story short Melissa has accepted a new teaching positon at Kimbrough Middle School in Mesquite, TX.  And for me, I have returned to the funeral business.  For those of you who don’t know, I worked for Hopper Funeral Home in my hometown of Barbourville, KY, right out of highschool for several years.  God has truly helped both of us dodge some major “bullets”.  Y’all know what I mean by that!  Melissa has been given a promotion to a girl’s athletic coordinator.  I am again a funeral director’s assistant.  I have decided it’s time to go full throttle and get my funeral director’s license.  I also have my real estate education in tact and will proceed taking my test to aquire that license as well.
So now you’re wondering what about singing?! I will still travel and sing, fulfilling all scheduled dates.  I do not plan to come off the road completely.  But, keeping a schedule at the level it needs to be to support my family at this time is not happening.  If you read my last email you have been clued in on where I am at this stage in life and career.  I truly love the funeral business.  My heart for hurting families is the same as my heart for ministry.  Actually for me the funeral business is ministry.
Now, I do have to share how this came about.  I had spent two days on the phone calling funeral homes across the area to offer my music/singing services, as well as asking if they were seeking employees for assistants.  The only funeral home that asked for an inteview hired me.  The neat story is when I went in to sign my paperwork the general mangager and I had a personal conversation.  I shared with her about the delcine in my concert schedule and she shared with me that she had been praying God would send her another director’s assisant AND she was pregnant!  She said, “…and here you are…”.  Now as weird as that is, she went on to say the doctors had told her and her husband they would never have children.  And to top it off, her husband has already picked out the name for the baby….Shannon!  God could have not been any more clear that He had put me where He wants me to be for this season in my life.  So with all that said, come and see me at a city near you!  Follow the schedule for upcoming The BUNCH Stops Here. I’ll keep you updated as I can.
Much love to all y’all!

Bookings Needed

‘Tis the season…not sure of what.  In brief I am struggling to fill my calendar for 2018!  If you are on this email as a pastor/music director/promoter and I’ve not contacted you I’d welcome a phone call to schedule your church for this year.  If you are on this email list in general and you have family/friends who are well connected into a local church (anywhere USA) you may forward this email to them and attach a little personal referral note.

I will send a news update next week.  In the meantime here’s the schedule!  Look forward to seeing you if you’re near the following dates.  Go to the SCHEDULE page and you can see what has been booked thus far.
